With its expertise, TexCycle participates in the following activities in the CIRPASS-2 project:
Expert Working Group on textiles:
The group’s objective is to bring in the textile industry’s insights including their value chains, supply chains, and product characteristics, to help with clarifying benefits and challenges in implementing Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in their sector, discovering and validating new business models, understanding the needs of SMEs in their sector and evolutions in consumer sustainable consumption. The group will also contribute to building the sector-specific ontologies.
Pilot Action “Textile Loop”:
Led by atma.io, this action aims to create a holistic circular textile system powered by Digital Product Passport (DPP) data and services. The pilot will create and assign unique digital IDs through DPPs and track them through the downstream circular services where sorting partners will facilitate repairing, reselling, upcycling, and recycling use cases. This involves all relevant stakeholders to close the loop for textiles.
