The purpose of the project proposal is to demonstrate good practices for preventing the formation of household waste from clothing and textiles, through their separate collection, re-use, preparation for re-use or the production of subsequent weaving of carpets from non-reusable textiles. The demonstrated practice increased the public self-awareness of the residents of the cities of Varna and Sofia, and prevented the mixing of unnecessary clothing and textiles in the mixed household waste containers, contributed to an increase in the share of recycled materials, reduced the amount of landfilled waste and contributed to the transition to a circular economy in R. Bulgaria.
